Independence from High Food Prices ...

Welcome - to issue 6 of
Easy Food Dehydrating Depot!

Vacation Time is Upon Us!

With the advent of Independence Day, summertime is now officially here and vacations are uppermost in people's minds. Take time out to be thankful for what you have, and take time to rest from the daily grind.

It's a difficult time for many families in today's economy, and the luxury of a vacation is not an option this year for many. If that's the case at your home, make sure you take time out to smell the roses - even if it's only a picnic in your own backyard!

Dress up the old patio table, get the grill out - even though July 4th has come and gone already - it doesn't mean there's no more outdoor fun to be had -- that doesn't break the bank.

How about sprucing up your home via a can of paint -- changing the color of your front door can work wonders -- mine's in the process of going from a glaring bright white gloss to a lovely dark sage green! It doesn't cost the earth to do ... and to quote my dad: "a change is as good as a rest".

Growing Lettuce -- Indoors -- results so far!

Time is flying by and my lettuce-growing attempt was pathetic, to say the least ... but Rich wrote in and suggested using a T-5 bulb (as he was doing) and we'll let you know how that works!
