Happy Thanksgiving!

Welcome - to issue 10 of
Easy Food Dehydrating Depot!

Thanksgiving is approaching fast, but I must admit this whole year has flown by really. This morning was a very pleasant 56F outdoors, making a great change from being hit in the face with 80F degree sunshine at 7 in the morning!

Don't get me wrong, I'm not really complaining - as there's many people who wished they weren't shoveling snow, and slipping on ice. I've been there, done that, too.

Wherever you are in the world as you read this, I hope the weather is cooperating for you!

And as if there isn't enough going on on Thanksgiving Day, it's also the day I love to put up the Christmas Tree! I'm not one of those patient people who wait until the 'week before' or even Christmas Eve. I just love to see the lights and the ornaments - it gives you a warm fuzzy happy feeling inside - the feeling of caring and love - that I wish would last the whole year long ...

Florida Gardening

Last month, I reported that a veggie garden was going to be sprouting in our front yard ... well, the thought was there! Unfortunately, my friend John ran out of time, but we did get a compost bin underway! I shouldn't use the word "we" as John did all the work! Thanks John!

For great information on creating a proper garden in Florida, may I suggest two great books: "Gardening in Florida -- Month-by-Month", by Tom MacCubbin. The other book is by James M. Stephens and is called "Vegetable Gardening in Florida".

Both these books may be purchased through our website's Marketplace, in the Recommended Books section, on page 2.

I also subscribe to our local gardening magazine: "Florida Gardening". To subscribe, go to: www.floridagardening.com

We'll send out via RSS all the gardening updates. Please feel free to send in your comments to help me 'do it right'!
